How is payment handled?
Events: For booking an event date, a deposit is usually required and the balance is due by 2 weeks before the event. For short notice events, the entire payment can be paid at the event and no deposit is required.
Non-Event Video Production: A deposit will be requested, and the balance will need to be paid upon completion of the video or within 30 days of the shoot date (whichever comes first). For non edited video projects, the balance is due on the shoot date.
How long will my finished wedding video be?
Typically around 30-40 minutes, but anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes depending upon the package and number of items on your timeline. We usually include a separate chapter containing the entire ceremony as well.
Do you use a wireless lapel mic at wedding ceremonies?
Yes we do! We use a mic on the groom for the best possible sound. We also place it at just the right spot so that the bride, pastor, and grooms voices are all picked up equally.
How long will it take till my video is done?
It typically takes 1 to 4 months AFTER all payment, music, photos, or anything needed to complete your video is received. In certain cases the process is sped up, and in other cases it takes longer, but its almost always within the 1-4 months timeline.
How much is the deposit for booking a date?
The deposit for booking a wedding is $300, and the balance must be paid by 2 weeks prior the wedding. For other projects the deposit depends on the project and time frame.
Why is your service more afforable then some others?
We work from a home studio, cut out all middle men, and plan everything in advance, cutting hours, increasing customer satisfaction, and passing the savings on to you. We also use state of the art technology which helps reduce time, and increase effiency.
What happens if I want minor changes to my video after I receive it?
We are happy to report that about 85% of our clients are happy exactly how we give them the video. But if you would like changes, we can do that. Minor changes must be reported within 5 days and are usually free. For multiple edits or vast changes there will be an estimate given.
How do you work with photographers, vendors, other people?
Very well! Not only do we have a teamwork approach when working with other people,
but we have NEVER had a complaint. We communicate, and will plan with your photographer
or DJ so that everyone has the shot they want and everyone is happy.

What kind of cameras do you use?
We use the Sony Ex1r, Z1U, Sony Z5, and the Sony FX7 Cameras. All of them are professional HD cameras with 3 chips and are broadcast quality. We also use professional tripods, glidecam, jib, lighting, and other equipment depending upon the project.
Do you recommend having a 2nd Videographer at my wedding?
We recommend having a 2nd Videographer (we can provide more videographers) if your wedding has more then 300 people OR if it has a balcony or 2nd story at the ceremony or reception. This insures that we maximize the ability to be able to shoot at any time from either location.
Who owns the rights to the footage?
Unless otherwise agreed to, Silas's Videography owns the rights to all footage shot by Silas's Videography and grants the client freedom to use the footage they are given as they wish.
