3 Steps to Video Production
Pre-Production is all about discovering your goals, strategy, timeline, ideas, interview questions, and budget for your project. We want to come up with a shotlist, storyboard, or script by the end of our pre-production meetings.
Production is where we actually set up all the video, lighting, and audio equipment and capture the video content. Usually the footage will consist of interviews and B-roll (supporting footage).
Post-Production is where we edit the footage, adjust the coloring, add music, sound effects, text titles, and work with you to create a final cut of the project.
Typical Videos
Most of the videos we produce use a combination of interviews (or "talking heads") and supporting footage (called B-roll) which is shown while the interviewee is speaking.
You can also use a narrator and a script with supporting footage as well. We can even use stock footage sometimes if it fits the type of video.
We use the interviews (or narration) to drive the video and show B-roll (related supporting footage) while the interviewee is speaking.
You don't have to have B-roll, but it makes the video more interesting and lets the viewer see more of your organization, services, or products. Instead of just showing a "talking head," you can show the location with a drone shot, the interviewee in action, etc.
